The Tale Of Two Wannabes: Burris & Franken

Appointed by the tainted Blagojevich, Illinois State Attorney General Roland Burris is doing all he can to separate himself from the provincial governor, seemingly breaking his neck to jump into the seat vacated by Barry. At present, the Senate Democrats plan to lock arms in order to physically bar his attempt to enter the chambers. (source)

Al's real-life comedy skit is ending just like his always did-with a fizz. He continues to fight and claw his way into our hearts because, gosh-darnit, people like him.

How much can Hollywood celebrity, 30 years worth of name recognition, and employment on Air America get you these days? Not even 50% in Minnesota, apparently. After 2 months of shinanigans like denying military absentee ballots, Al is starting to fall apart, apparently. He's lashing out, threatening to claw the eyes out of any Republican he can find.

Fearful of contracting rabies, the Senate Republicans are vowing to fillibuster any attempt by Al to seat himself in the chambers. (source)
